About Anchor Point Therapy Group

Chelsea (she/her/hers)  is the founder and owner of Anchor Point Therapy Group. 

After experiencing debilitating and life threatening postpartum depression and postpartum anxiety from 2015-2018, Chelsea returned to school determined to be a voice for women and moms. She earned her Bachelors Degree in Psychology in 2019, and her Masters Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, graduating with Distinction in 2021. In addition to lived experienced, she has received extensive training in Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders from The Seleni Institute, The Bloom Foundation, and Spectrum Health. Chelsea also received training in Exposure Response and Prevention (ERP) Therapy to work with clients with OCD and is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), using EMDR to help clients process traumatic events and memories.

Chelsea wholeheartedly believes in giving her clients a safe space to explore the areas of their lives that need attention. She works exclusively with women and has experience working with individuals who experience anxiety, depression, pregnancy/postpartum challenges, grief/loss, infertility, pregnancy loss (miscarriage, stillbirth, abortion), TFMR, OCD, bipolar, and trauma.

To best meet an individual's needs, Chelsea draws from several therapeutic techniques and uses her expertise and training to provide a safe place for clients to explore the nature of what has been bringing discomfort. With support, Chelsea works with her clients to create a plan that best suits their goals for healing.

Chelsea founded Anchor Point Therapy Group in 2023 and is excited to offer hope, healing, and support in-person in St. Clair Shores and the surrounding areas; as well as offering virtual sessions to individuals residing in the state of Michigan.
